I’ve lived in Wiltshire all my life, and the Wiltshire landscape is in my blood. My Jordan ancestors have lived here as far back as I can trace them – at least since 1550. I grew up in the Vale of Pewsey, where I heard tales of ghosts, giants and dwellers in the barrows, and this is where my love of Wiltshire folklore was nurtured. Later – much later, after I had left the county and crafted a career for myself – I learned to relate to the Wiltshire landscape through Druidry, and this particular way of living now informs every aspect of my life. All that I do is Druidry.
Tales of the Black Cat is designed to run in tandem with my website At the Sign of the Black Cat, so that I can fill in the background to my various interests and giving anyone who’s interested a bit of insight into what I’m working on and how I do it. It will also, I hope, be a way for me to explore how I think and feel about the things that interest me or are impacting on me at the time.
So if you’re interested in Druidry, family history or folklore, mystery cats or green men, or getting out and about in Wiltshire, you’ll get some insight into how one person works with them here.
